About
Founded in 2015, the Geneva business aviation association (AGAA) brings together all Geneva-based companies in the sector with a single, unique voice. These companies constitute a major economic force, actively supporting the canton’s framework conditions. 1,100 employees are active in various branches of business aviation:
- Diplomatic flights
- Commercial and banking (corporate) flights
- Private flights
- Medical flights (repatriation)
Geneva airport is Europe’s second-largest centre for business aviation with nearly 41,000 movements in 2015 (commercial and non-commercial), surpassed only in size by Paris-Le Bourget business airport. The Geneva aerodrome with its single, unique runway also hosts passenger aircraft, low-cost airlines and charter flights. Working to keep a competitive business aviation sector that provides employment in Geneva is therefore a key task for the AGAA. It aims to:
- Improve and optimise operating conditions
- Collaborate better with various players and authorities involved
- develop a long-term strategy for business aviation in Geneva
Promote consensus, collaboration and prosperity. The AGAA works for business aviation and Geneva’s economy.
